Creating Your Digital Menu

8 min read

Introduction

Your digital menu is the heart of your restaurant's QR ordering experience. A well-organized menu not only looks professional but also helps customers find what they want quickly, leading to higher order values.

1. Understanding the Hierarchy

Reztro organizes your menu into three simple levels:

Categories

Starting points like "Appetizers", "Main Course", or "Drinks".

Items

The specific dishes or drinks you offer.

Variants

Customizations like "Small/Large" or "Spice Level".

2. Adding Categories

Start by creating logical buckets for your items:

  1. Go to Menu > Categories in your dashboard.
  2. Click "Add Category".
  3. Give it a name (e.g., "Trending Now" or "Desserts").
  4. Add a category image (recommended size: 400x400px).
  5. Set the display order to control what shows up first.

⭐ Tip: "Trending" or "Chef's Specials" categories at the top can boost sales by 20%!

3. Adding Menu Items

Now, add the actual food and drinks:

The "Perfect Item" Checklist:

  • High-Quality Image: Use bright, clear photos of the actual dish.
  • Descriptive Name: Be clear but enticing (e.g., "Signature Farmhouse Pizza").
  • Detailed Description: Mention key ingredients and portion size.
  • Dietary Tags: Mark items as Veg, Non-Veg, or Vegan.

4. Pricing and Variants

Reztro allows flexible pricing for different sizes or options:

Example: Coffee

  • Small: ₹120
  • Medium: ₹150
  • Large: ₹180

You can also add "Add-ons" like "Extra Cheese" or "Vanilla Syrup" with their own prices.

Next: Setup Your Tables

Once your menu is ready, it's time to generate QR codes for your tables so customers can start ordering.
